the matter of eye lashes

months ago i watched one of the beauty guru's video on youtube. its essiebutton. she's a sweet girl btw and i like her a lot.

her favorite affordable mascara recently was Maybelline Rocket Volume Mascara

mascara is my favorite makeup product, i used to have an acne prone skin back at the past so the only safe make up product that i can wear at my face was mascara.
so in short, i decided to buy that mascara. well i must admit that my lashes looks nice with that. with only one coat, you can get a pretty lashes, long and stand still.

the staying power is so good for me. i kinda happy at that time and thought that that would be my holy grail. i applied it on the afternoon right before i went to campus. after 6 or 7 hours, the mascara stand still! gosh! this is good. 

But...

i realized that i felt a lil bit funny. i feel like sleepy because the mascara's so heavy... 

when i went home, i remove it with cleansing oil. and the cleaning part was such a pain in the a*s...

but i thought that "hey, beauty is pain, right?" so at first i can deal with the hard parts of it.

but on my third times using that mascara, my eyes got a serious problem! got a stye! or in indonesia we called bintitan! oh seriously! i just loved you now i have to break up with you??? 

since i have a bad experience with stye, i should let go my rocket to someone else (my sister) and back to my old mascara, maybelline falsies.. 

gettin tired with the duty of cleaning the mascara at the end of the day, now i'm thinking to invest in eyelash curler! well months ago i buried my desire to own an infamous eyelash curler from shu uemura... why? because the price is like.... "hah? $$$$" "i could get a brushes with that money, and hey what is the differences between the curler from the dollar store?" and so on and so on...
so that desire was gone until... today! i used to think that eyelash curler is such a waste of money since the mascara already did the job to curl lashes... but i think now i'm ready to have this tools in my life..lol

i did a deep research for this tool and got 2 brands nominated. Shu Uemura and Shiseido...
some people said shu was sooo amazing, other said its just too big for their eyes so it pinched a bit and prefer the one from Shiseido...

i googled many posts about their comparisons and finally i chooooooose.....

i've been using this curler for about a month. overall i Love Love Loooove this curler...
fits my eyes perfectly and shapes the lashes really well.
