today, briefly

early in the morning, well, not really,
it's 8.30 and inu picked me up and we went straight to job fair. nothin special.
after that we went to LIA to gathered info about toefl prep class (yeah a bit random).
because i got nothing to do at that time, i decided to go to inu's house. when we arrived, inu's mom was cookin rawon, but she ran out toge kecil2 and telor asin, so we went straight to carefour near inu's house.
at carefour, i updated my location on path, and suddenly anggi called and she said that she'll come join.
so, that afternoon we spent our time eating rawon and gossiping at inu's place.
after ashar, we decided to go to kota kasablanka. inu was looking for a concealer.
unfortunately, anggi should left early. so it was me and inu. we went to pasar festival after that, because inu's mom was craving for bakmi GM.
after ordered take away GM, me and inu ate KFC and inu dropped me home.

i entered my house and i found my dad playin facebook in the living room. when he looked at me he asked me to ask mom if she wanna go out or what, he said that mom being moody since afternoon.
it was already 9 pm, but me, mom and dad decided to go to ragusa to bought mom's childhood fave ice cream.

so we bought our selves a horen ice cream (except mom, 2 portion for her) and ate it at car.
we went home.
i tried my new eyeliner from make over that i bought earlier with inu.
it was really good though for pigmentation and durability, but i think my eyes feels like swollen... duh...
but i'll try again tomorrow

Transcreation

it was last sunday, I helped my boyfriend packed his stuff. yes, after 6 months, we should go back to 'LDR' phase again....
well in short, i got caught by him while tucking in a letter. he's surprised. he said that he didnt prepare anything for me so he gave me a book that he recently read ( he took out the bookmark just before he gave it to me). it's actually a very little book called the little book of transcreation.

i read it couple days ago, and finished it less than 40 mins. it's so small, very thin, theres no images in that book but still interesting!
so,
what is transcreation?
transcreation is the way that we can translate something effectively.
when translation is the ability to understand someone else's language, transcreation is about the ability to write in your own.

so the way you talk to one people to another people is different.
for example, McD, one of the global company, start to adapt the iconic line 'im lovin it' for chinese market. because the wor]d "love" is taken seriously and never used lightly in china. however, 'love' was never even said aloud. so, when they show their affection they prob say I like you.
as a resutl, Mcd opted for mandarin line: (in chinese character) that means "I just like (it)"

what i got, not only about marketing or advertising though, but also about some tips for living..
yes, we people, are living together in this world side by side.
to make a good relationship, we should not only translate.
